A building has collapsed in Villa Gesell, trapping around six people. Emergency services, including local firefighters, are working hard to rescue those trapped.

In an interview with Radio Rivadavia, the mayor of Villa Gesell, Gustavo Barrera, reported that the plans for the collapsed building date back to 1996. They were carrying out work on the facade, but not on the tower. This situation has been described as very complex and unprecedented in the area.

Barrera highlighted the efforts to rescue the trapped individuals, with the active collaboration of the firefighters and numerous volunteers from the region. The mayor mentioned that approximately 6 people remain trapped under the rubble. Additionally, he pointed out that another nearby building, of smaller size, also collapsed due to the impact of the collapsed structure.

Amid this tragedy in Villa Gesell, rescue efforts continue intensively, with the hope of finding the trapped individuals safe and sound.
